PortAventura Theme Park

PortAventura World is the largest theme park in Spain, attracting around 3.5 million visitors a year. Only 90 km separate the theme park from the Catalan metropolis of Barcelona.

In addition to PortAventura Park, other theme parks belong to PortAventura World. These are the water theme park Caribe Aquatic Park and Ferrari Land, named after the Italian car manufacturer. A number of hotels are also owned by PortAventura World.

The pride of the theme park is the Dragon Khan roller coaster. At the time of its completion in 1995, it even held a record: at that time, it was the roller coaster with the most inversions in the world. The Furius Baco, which has been in operation since 2007, still holds the record for the fastest roller coaster in Europe, with 135 km/h. But other rides, such as the Hurakan Condor free fall tower, also provide plenty of adrenaline kicks.
