The Torre Glòries - The new viewing platform in Barcelona

The Torre Glòries is a 142-metre-high building in the centre of Barcelona. Especially in the evening, the iconic building stands out with its colourful lighting. A total of 4,5000 LED lamps are used for this purpose. But also during the day, when the sun reflects on the tower, it shines in a unique way! The building has a total of 38 floors, with the observation deck on the 33rd level. Inspired by other buildings in Barclona, the building was designed by French architect Jean Nouvel.

For many years, the Torre Glòries was not open to the public. There had previously been plans for a hotel to open here. However, the city of Barcelona did not grant permission. Instead, it is now mainly office space.

Since 20 May 2022, tourists and locals can now also enter the Torre Glòries. The highlight is the newly opened Barcelona viewing platform, which is located on the 33rd floor. From there you can enjoy a 360° view of the Catalan capital.

Directions

You will find the striking skyscraper near Plaça de les Glòries Catalanes. The building is located in the Poble Nou district, on Avenida Diagonal. You can see the building from afar.

If you want to travel by public transport, take the metro line L1. Take it to the "Glòries" station. From there it is only a few minutes' walk to the Torre Glòries.
